Branches,
volunteers, board, management and staff organise the Annual Cottage Fair, our
main fundraiser for the year. It takes three days to set up, an incredible
workforce on the day and a colunteer cleanup at the end. The 2011 Fair raised
over $50,000!
At this year's Fair, thousands of people took advantage of
some wonderful bargains. The weather was the kindest it has been for a number of
years and visitors soaking up the sunshine while browsing for food, drink and
bargains. While all stalls were popular, the Fruit and Vegetable stall, White
Elephant , Toys, and Book stalls were all a huge hit. The Cottage Tours allowed
many to see for the first time how the Cottage operated. The food court in the
big new marquee was very popular.
Cottage by the Sea would like to thank
all those who supported the event and we look forward to a bigger and better
fair in January 2012.
At this year's Fair, a huge crowd enjoyed music,
food and lots more -

- A giant book stall with thousands to choose from - second hand and new
- Breakfast - egg and bacon or pancakes
- New clothes
Devonshire tea (with views to the Rip)
- Our famous jams and preserves stall
- Barbecue lunch
- Craft stall

- Hand made crafts, cards and other goods
- Coffee
