- Thank you for the things you had done for us. Surfing was OK. I was so
scared when I stood on the surfboard by my self. I had fun with you I hope you
had a good time with us. I did.
- I can't believe my mum said that she did not have to pay for camp. Who pays
for all this cool stuff for us?
- I told my bad sister bout all the good fun stuff we did on our trip to
CBTS....and now she is trying to be good and not run away from school so she can
get picked to go to cottage next time.
- I love all the yummy food here at camp...I can't believe they know how to
cook Thai food. My tummy hurts from laughing so much. I don't want to go back to
school. I want to live here. I love the beach... I didn't know it was so much
fun... I think I want to be a teacher here when I grow up!!
- I forgot about all the bad stuff that has been happening at home and making our family so sad.

- Thank you so much for the children's holiday. They had such a good time they
fight to talk about something that they did or saw, etc. It was a great break
for me as well! You really spoilt the boys with the bags and hats. They were
exhausted and I think it will take them a week to catch up. Please pass on my
thanks to everyone. (Carer of two boys aged 9 and 7)
- We are living in a shed in the middle of a wet paddock. We lost everything
and my husband's work place also burnt down so he had no job... if only (the
Cottage) knew how much it meant to our family and community to think our lucky
kids were having such a special time after everything we have been through. (Yea

- ‘...the $1.50 was contributed by our 3 year old emptying her money box to
help other kids have a fun beach holiday. Ta for your great work.’ (Letter from
a family donating $251.50)
- The Rotary Club of Boroondara is proud of its association with Cottage by
the Sea. We were so impressed by the philosophy and the practice of the Cottage
and were keen to support such a worthwhile cause. The Club members who have
assisted at the Cottage Fair over the past two years have felt a great sense of
community and purpose in the fundraising effort. We see Cottage by the Sea as a
very worthy and inspiring charity and look forward to providing our support
again in the future.’
- 'The membership of Iluka Auxilliary comprises a small group of mostly
retired teachers who have a particular interest in raising funds for Cottage by
the Sea, a really worthwhile cause. The members of the Auxilliary have had a
long association with the Cottage during their teaching careers in the northern
and western suburbs of Melbourne and we have been raising funds for them for 16
years.’
- “Simply Energy initially chose to support Cottage by the Sea in recognition
of their invaluable work with the children in our community. We have continued
our involvement because, in addition to the satisfaction we gain by being able
to support them financially,Cottage by the Sea also provide the opportunity for
our staff to become actively involved in their fundraising activities. Whilst
our collaboration with Cottage by the Sea has been a very positive experience
for Simply Energy, it is the Victorian community who has the most to gain by
supporting this wonderful charity.” (Domenic Capomolla, Chief Executive Officer)
