Being a Good Corporate Citizen
Corporate social responsibility is the term used to describe a company's commitment to operating in a way that takes account of not only the financial implications of the business decisions it makes, but also the social, economic and environmental impacts.Being known as a good corporate citizen can have direct benefits to a company as the business becomes known, trusted and involved in the "bigger picture".

How can you help us?
Cottage by the Sea is looking for corporate sponsors to help continue our much needed programs. It costs us $500 for each child to attend a camp, i.e. a total of $10,000 to run each camp. We receive no Government funding and depend on the generous support of individuals and national and local corporate supporters. Your company may wish to donate funds towards one of our 45 camps planned for 2010.
Other ways of providing financial or in-kind support include:
- making us your preferred charity
- donating funds from a designated charity day e.g. charity golf days/movie nights
- sponsoring a child
- sponsoring a project from the Wish List
- funding a holiday camp
- Workplace Giving (email for package)
- publicity, advertising and promotions
- donating money (fully tax deductible)
- employee fundraising
- volunteering schemes
How can we help you?
Lots of companies are discovering the fun and benefits of supporting a chosen charity. This can be a great way of motivating staff behind one objective, with a variety of team building, exciting and social activities. We cannot ever match the support given to us but some of the things we can give back are:
- improving your company's profile and reputation by demonstrating corporate social responsibility
- increasing staff motivation and team-building, either within your facility or onsite at the Cottage
- cross referral and networking
- acknowledgement on our web site and literature
- acknowledgement in our publications, e.g. Annual Report and half-yearly newsletters
- acknowledgement and referral to your company would be included on the DVD of camp memories our children now receive to take home with them
