Dangerfield nominates Cottage for $100,000

News Updates

NEWMAN’S Own Foundation, founded by the late actor and philanthropist Paul Newman, has announced Patrick Dangerfield as one of seven Australian sports stars being in a special charity grants program.

In recognition of his ongoing commitment to giving back to the local community, star Cat Dangerfield was invited by the foundation to nominate an Australian charity to receive a $100,000 grant.

He nominated Cottage by the Sea in Queenscliff, which provides inspiration, fun and opportunities for disadvantaged young people in a positive, healthy, seaside environment.

The funds will be used to upgrade the 80-year-old building in line with current safety and access needs.

“Cottage by the Sea provides children with a very unique experience and it is my great privilege to be a Cottage by the Sea ambassador,” Dangerfield said.
