Flinders Golf Day

News Updates

In it’s thirteenth year, the annual fundraising golf day at Flinders Golf Course shows no signs of slowing down. The day, organised by Cottage Ambassador Alan Harrison and long time supporter Geoff Counsel, has become a favourite fundraising event on the Cottage calendar and raised just short of $40,000 – the most raised to date.

The event was attended by Cottage Patron Frank Costa and Ambassadors, Jimi Bartel and Ian Cover, who all got up in front of the group in players after lunch to share their experiences with Cottage by the Sea. It was also a privilege to have 5 Cottage by the Sea Board Members attend.

The theme of the day, as insisted by Alan and Geoff is, “it’s not about the golf”. The theme really shown amongst the players on the golf course who left their competitive sides at home and played a round in the same spirits as the kids do when they come to the Cottage.

Cottage by the Sea would like to thank everyone who attended the day, donated items for the auction and importantly, Alan and Geoff who do an amazing job every year.
