Food, food, glorious food!

Our Stories

Tiwa was surprised at how much food there was on camp. Coming from Congo less than six months ago, Tiwa was amazed at the choices she was offered at every mealtime.

The excitement of trying new fruits such as the sweet pineapple, juicy raspberries, sweet honey melon and fleshy cantaloupe made her a fruit lover.

Tiwa’s favourite mealtime however was lunch when there were multiple new choices to experience such as pies, roast potatoes, lasagne, pizza, soups as well her favourites of chicken, steamed rice, noodles and fried rice.

“What was the best part of camp?” Tiwa was asked on Friday, “The food!” Was her response. With breakfast, morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea, dinner and dessert served gloriously every day, who wouldn’t want to eat at Cottage by the Sea!
