Making new memories on Take a Break

Our Stories

We were very excited to welcome Grade 2 students from Mandama Primary School for their Take a Break program at Cottage by the Sea.

After picking up the 55 children, we settled into Cottage smoothly. Tummies were filled from lunch and it was time to get started on the activities. We had a fun-filled two days planned, spent in the ocean and doing fun activities outside.

The children were divided into 3 groups, all getting a chance to experience the same activities. There was dye dodgeball and boogie-boarding, exploring the Marine Discovery Centre, tackling the low-ropes course and creating spectacular sand sculptures.

It was great weather both days for the children as they spent time in the ocean and played outside.
Lots of treasure was found in the sandpit from our generous pirates who visit nightly, ensuring everyone found something special.

This camp was short but sweet. New memories were made and the children tried new things – they especially loved the pasta!

With a final morning full of fun, it was time to pack their bags and head home. There were a few sleepy faces on the bus, but safe to say they all had a great time and cannot wait to return one day! See you next time, Mandama.
