First Camp of 2018

We were back and running camps the first week of 2018 and we couldn’t have been more excited to have our REEF kids join us! Being the second year of the program for the group, we were able to get stuck straight into activities.

We were welcomed with perfect summer weather and so it wasn’t hard to decide how we would spend our time together. From swimming, to snorkelling, to surfing – we had an awesome weekend spent making the most of the Cottage Beach.

On the second night of the camp, the kids had the opportunity to go to the Queenscliff Carnival. It was certainly a highlight of the camp and the kids had a great time choosing their rides and entertainment. Afterwards we enjoyed a beautiful Queenscliff summer sunset and dipped our feet in the ocean.

As this group are all beginning year 7 this year, we had a chat about their anxieties, goals and excitement entering the next phase of their school lives. It was inspirational to hear what all of the REEFies had to contribute to the conversation.

It was a fantastic camp to kick off 2018 and we cannot wait to see them all at the next REEF camp!
