Cottage by the Sea provides disadvantaged young people with inspiration, fun and opportunity. Our programs for students from primary through to the end of secondary provide a nurturing environment where children build their potential and return to their lives happier and healthier individuals. We are a not-for-profit and receive no government funding.

Fundraising initiatives like Winter Warmers allow attendance to grow without compromising the quality of the experience and care given to each and every camp child.

Inaugural Winter Warmer Ambassadors

The Mermaids an all-female swimming group on the Bellarine raised $1,200 staging a Winter Warmers Breakfast.

A great way to catch up, have fun whilst helping the children and families from the Cottage. Whether it’s a winter swim, surf, run, lunch, dinner, pie night. It’s up to you how you choose to fundraise for Winter Warmers.

How you can Help

Register a Winter Warmers Fundraiser or if you’d prefer to simply donate you can make a donation direct to the Cottage with donations of $2 and over tax deductible.

Winter Warmers is an exciting new fundraising initiative whereby over the first week of winter from the 1st June to the 31st of July the community comes together to raise money for Cottage by the Sea.

Winter Warmers takes place in the first week of winter i.e. from the 1st to the 30th of June 2023. Therefore, plan your Winter Warmer fundraiser during this period. Pick a date during the first week of winter that best suits you.

Think about what you love to do over winter and plan your fundraiser accordingly. Go into our registration page to register as a participant. Then get your network to sponsor you or your team. Download our “Winter Warmer Fundraising Ideas” page for some suggestions to help fire your imagination. Warming up to raise money for Cottage by the Sea can be done in many fun and creative ways.

A Cottage by the Sea Winter Warmers scarf will be sent to all registered fundraisers i.e. a solo participant or a Team Captain on the team registration when $50 is raised! Please note scarfs will not be given to a donor of your page but as a reward to you as the individual who set up the fundraiser page either as a solo fundraiser or as a Team Captain. You will be able to purchase a scarf on behalf of your donors for $25 each plus postage to each registered fundraiser. Each fundraiser will be emailed an option to purchase additional scarfs before their personal scarf is mailed out. To allow us enough time get the scarf delivery out to you, we ask that you raise the required funds sooner rather than later.

You register to Winter Warmers Fundraiser by heading to the Winter Warmers fundraising portal. Click “Register My Fundraiser.”  Complete the form. Be sure to create your URL with your Team or Individual Name so you can share this with your network. That way when they donate the tally will grow on your fundraiser page.

You will be able to register your Winter Warmers Fundraiser right up to the 30th of June. Thereafter, if you would like to make a donation to Cottage by the Sea you can do through the donation page on the website. www.cottagebythesea.com.au

It sure can. In fact planning a Winter Warmers event in your workplace is the perfect way to nurture a positive workplace culture as you’ll be giving back to the community together. You can also have loads of fun and laughter with your event to boost morale in your workplace. Maybe it’s indoor bowling, a “Winter Dish” cook up, a “Sensational Soup” day or perhaps a “Winter Warmer Uppper’er Supper.” Have fun planning your fundraiser.

Absolutely! Donations of $2 or more are tax deductible. Receipts are issued automatically to the donor after a donation is made through your fundraising page.

Upon registering, you’ll set up your own fundraising page and be provided with a unique URL. Share this with your friends and family so they can donate directly to your page!
