BOUTIQUE HOMES CHARITY AUCTION RAISES $1.68 MILLION

News Updates

Leading Victorian builder, Boutique Homes, in partnership with Moremac Property Group, sold one of its premium ‘family homes in Point Lonsdale for an incredible $1.68 million, with net proceeds from the sale being donated to Cottage by the Sea.

Built in just six and a half months with the help of over 45 supporting partners, the breathtaking four-bedroom, two-bathroom home proved popular at Saturday’s highly competitive auction.

Cottage by the Sea CEO, Adam Wake, explains the charity couldn’t be happier with the auction results, with the funds set to play an important role for the organisation in its mission to enhance the lives of young people by providing inspirational and fun opportunities in a holiday environment.

“We are absolutely thrilled by the results from the auction and so thankful to Boutique Homes, Moremac Property Group and every single person that has contributed to the build and auction of this special family home. At a time when traditional fundraising is difficult, these funds will go a long way in allowing us to continue to provide tailored camp programs and respite holidays for children and families in need at our Riptide location in Queenscliff,” said Wake.

Templestowe couple Christine and John placed the winning bid for the home. Aidan Hooper, Managing Director of ABN Group Victoria (of which Boutique Homes is part) extends his congratulations to the couple.

“Boutique Homes is very excited for the new home owners – they’ve purchased a beautiful home in a stunning location, benefiting a fantastic cause. It’s been incredibly rewarding to see this home come to life and we’re proud to be helping Cottage by the Sea continue to provide a long-lasting and positive impact on Victorian families,” said Hooper.

“I’d like to thank all of the supporting partners who helped bring this special charity home to life, including Bradnam’s Windows & Doors, Brivis, ILVE and Surfaces by Hynes, generously providing their skills, services and donations,” added Hooper.

The home is located within the highly sought-after The Point Estate and features all the benefits of coastal living says co-founder of Moremac Property Group, Bryce Moore.

“The home sits in a prime position within The Point Estate, where the new home owners can enjoy picturesque water and park-facing views. They’ll have everything they need to enjoy their new coastal lifestyle, with the knowledge that they’ve played a part in giving back to the community,” said Moore.

Over 45 groups of prospective buyers, from retirees through to young families, inspected the home in the lead up to auction. Positioned off the Bellarine Highway, the home is close to local retail, leisure and healthcare amenities. With Geelong’s city centre a short 30-minute drive away, it has easy access to endless cafes, beaches and hiking trails on the Bellarine Peninsula and is surrounded by waterways, green parklands and scenic walking tracks within The Point Estate.
