Newsletters

Our Summer newsletter features stories and pictures of some our recent programs including Moulamein and Mt Buller for our Mentors. Other program stories featured are on the David Wells and Western English Language Schools Take a Break programs. The front cover of the newsletter is a joyful picture of the Mallee children from the David Wells camp enjoying the sunshine and salt water of the Bellarine. Adam Wake our CEO described this photo as “one of my favorite photos of all time. Just add water, and they will have fun. ” What makes this special is for most of these kids from the Mallee on the David Wells Camp it was their first time on the beach and in the ocean.

There are many great stories and news updates from the Cottage for you to enjoy. You’ll also find a donation form to support the Cottage.

A highlight and feature story in this edition is a story on an amazing woman, Anne Catchpole. Anne is the longest ever serving member of the Cottage staff team. Anne recently announced her retirement after 28-years of service to the Cottage.

We don’t think we can call it a farewell as I am sure Anne will regularly pop in to visit starting with the Annual Cottage Fair on the second Saturday of every January. We encourage you to read Anne’s Cottage Journey which is beautifully told in her own words. Anne officially retires from her role in Community Relations with Cottage by the Sea at the start of February 2023.
